Feedback Type: Usage Tip

Contributed by: nospam2348523 Tuesday, May 24 2005 @ 06:34 PM PDT

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: YES

On some systems that have been upgraded to Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger), Media Player won't launch - it quits immediately.
Here's the fix:

Locate the file "Windows Media Player Prefs" from the Preferences folder in the Library folder in your Home folder, and drag it to the trash.

Now relaunch the application.

Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) Tip - DrSFG

I don't seem to have this file. Even spotlight doesn't say it exists.

It exists. Maybe you wnet into the "home" folder on the disk. Go into the one with the house icon, and you'll find the library folder in there.

This works. Why micro$oft couldn't arrange this, of course, is another question.
