I've been using iBiz for quite a while now, but I never did much with the Project Notes section. The other day I decided it was time to start. I typed in my notes and went about my business elsewhere. Now, suddenly, I find that all of my important notes are completely gone. Silly me... I didn't click the Change Notes button.
This is a serious interface issue. No app should be so careless with the user's data. I was given no warning that my notes would simply be discarded. If you click on anything else, they are simply erased. Adding to the problem is the fact that, on any decent sized screen, the Change Notes button is a long way from the top of the text box, which means many people are likely to just not notice it at first. There isn't even a way to tell whether the notes have been saved or not, so I'm forced to click the button excessively if I want to be sure I don't lose anything.
A couple of much more minor issues:
- My list of clients always has a vertical scroll bar, even though the area is much taller than the list itself. I can get rid of it by changing the width of the Clients list, and then shrinking it back, but it comes back the next time I open the app.
- You can delete Job Events with the keyboard's delete key, but not Projects or Clients. This is inconsistent, frustrating, and I see no good reason for it.
