I downloaded this out of curiosity, and found it to be quite an amusing app.
It's premise is to simply provide the player(s) with a playing table, and two decks of cards. The rest is up to you.
One thing that would have made this even more fun, (for me) would have been some kind of scripting language, to allow custom scoring. Also, being able to draw cards from a deck in an easier fashion, than what is provided, would also be welcome.
But on balance, the tools that are provided, are adequate for playing alone, or against other players. (As long as someone knows how the scoring is supposed to work.)
In any case, the opportunity is there to make a 'Solitaire Maker' application, where people can build their own solitaire games. Particularly if scoring and such could be taken care of by the computer.

Thanks for the feedback! We're planning similar features in coming versions to make dealing easier, although at this stage it's difficult to say if it'll be "scriptable" as such. We do want to accommodate as many different gaming scenarios as possible. As for scrollbars, did you know how can hold down the Space bar and drag the mouse to scroll around? Nevertheless, the next version will have scroll arrows that you can use to move around, too.
And a final note to the poster who felt Joueur is too expensive - the price is actually 14.99GBP at the moment.

I am looking for a game of bridge to practice myself in my computer when I have some time. Will your game help me? Thank you for any information or suggestions you may have for me.Saturday, June 17 2006 @ 02:53 PM PDT

Oh, and scrollbars would be good, for those with smaller screens.Reply to This
