Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Over One Year

This really sucks. I am in the middle of a scanning project and thought I would download the latest version of VueScan. To mu surprise, when I scanned the first picture after the update I get a message stating that my product is not registered. Helloooooo! I have been registered for almost 3 years now. I re-entered my serial number and I get another message saying it needs to be updated. I go to the site to update it and it wants my original credit card number. Is this for real??? What is going on here. I don't even have the original credit card I used for that purchase. So, I emailed tech support and have been waiting nearly 2 days with no response whatsoever. I am very disappointed in this new technique. Unfortunately, I replaced my older version of VueScan with the new version so I cannot revert back. This is not cool at all!!!

Take another look - Juicy

That form is actually three forms. Only one of them is for those who remember the card they used for the original purpose. I encountered the same issue. The original email address I used at registration sufficed to get me my new serial number. Take a few deep breaths. Then try it again.

Ask why - Ilgaz

Well, some morons out there posted their legit serial numbers to "download sites" (put any name)

So, developer changing serial numbering scheme. I'm sure he is NOT happy about that too.
