extract v3.0.3 without burning, to use from another drive

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: YES

You can use epc's instructions below to also get v3.0.3 for use from another boot drive (bootable FW clone, or second machine), to use on your Tiger installation.

The updater creates a .dmg from your original CD, and you can stop at the point where it's ready to burn. The updated .dmg is located in private/tmp while the updater is open. Mount that disk image + copy DW v3.0.3.

This is useful for when you otherwise would need to purchase the updated CD for a newer machine that won't boot from the CD that you can burn yourself, and besides using from another boot drive is faster than booting from a DW CD.

extract v3.0.3 without burning, to use from another drive - godsfault

"The updated .dmg is located in private/tmp..." Where is "private/tmp," and/or how do I access it?

Go to Finder, select Go -> Go to folder... and then type "/private/tmp/" in the dialog. Press Go and the folder will open.
