This little program more than doubled my download speed using firefox (6800 kilobits per second to 16000 kilobits per second), but had no discernable effect at all when using Safari (which remained at 6800 kilobits per second). I measured using several download meters over several days and receieved roughly the same results pretty consistently.

All I can say is thanks- I love it when its faster to download a 20mb file than it is to run it through stuffit expander!
