Fails on Verification

Feedback Type:  Troubleshooting Report

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Over One Year

Twice now I have tried to run the updater and both times it said the verification of the CD has failed. I decided to put the disk in the drive anyway and it came up fine but when I chose one of my secondary drives it says that the disk was so badly damaged it couldn't rebuild it. I think that's crazy, it is fine so it must be something to do with the bad burn or something.

Can't burn - Tomnibus

I get "Error" message using an internal Samsung CDRW on my 10.3.9 machine downstairs. Apparently the Samsung drive is not compatible or something.

Fails on Verification - sjk

You got further than I did. None of three drives could read the original 3.0 CD (and I couldn't find the backup copy) so I ordered the 3.0.3 media from Alsoft. I'd planned to do that eventually after Tiger was released so I'd have a bootable CD for my newer systems instead of having to use BootCD (s l o w) or FW target mode on boot volumes.
