I use Toast for burning purchased music because iTunes is more limited when it comes to gap timing between songs. With iTunes, you can only set ONE gap time. There are some tracks that orginally had ZERO time between them. In Toast you can change the gap time between EACH song.
I don't know what pressure Apple has put upon Roxio [to remove this feature], but I can't understand how this curtails any misuse of purchased songs. It only annoys us that DO purchase music. I have always HIGHLY recommended Toast, but, with this revision, that recommendation will most certainly will be tempered. I have been using Toast almost as long as it's been out and this is truly a step backwards. Although hesitant, I would still recommend Toast as an addition to the built in burning solutions.

DONT UPDATE - c_hohlmann
If your smart and you toast version just works fine - there is no need to update - from now one the app will most likely just turn to the worst - since they have problems with apple/dmr etc.Monday, May 30 2005 @ 02:35 AM PDT
