Tiger has been officially out for a week and obviously lots of software needs updating. For a 25 year veteran that's nothing new to me. In the software world there appear to be three kinds of companies: 1) those that let their customers know if there are issues with the new OS along with an assurance that updates are forthcoming. 2) those that say nothing and even ignore user contact, as if this information is a state secret. 3) those that don't update their current software for the new OS and force users to buy an upgrade.
You Software certainly doesn't belong to category 1. For a while I was thinking I should place them in category 2. But on reflection, given their March madness sale, I'm beginning to think they might have sucked in lots of new owners with the intent of being a category 3 company.
Under Tiger there are lots of little glitches with YouControl, YouControl Desktop is essentially useless. And the company remains silent.
Wanna bet sometime this week or maybe as late as early June we hear about YouControl v2 with a $20 upgrade fee for current users? And no fixes for the glitches in v1, of course.
