Slow on Safari 2.0 with Tiger

Feedback Type:  Troubleshooting Report

Contributed by: macgabriel87 Saturday, May 07 2005 @ 01:25 AM PDT

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

I have been complainin about Safari being slow and then found out that Pithhelmet is slowing Safari. Its not the rendering, or the loading part, its scrolling. The scrolling is really rough and slow. When I removed Pithhelmet, Safari's scrolling was flying and I saw an immediate difference. If anyone else is experience this problem, please reply or maybe its only my mac but please try to fix it! Thanks dev!

Slow on Safari 2.0 with Tiger - jcraig23

Since upgrading to Tiger, Safari scrolling has been horribly slow. No PithHelmet, just a Kensington mouse and Apple's mouse driver.

Slow on Safari 2.0 with Tiger - dunno

Yep -- me, too. If I have to choose between speed and ads, I'll take speed...

Slow on Safari 2.0 with Tiger - nobody7

Try turning off smooth scrolling in SystemPreferences:Appearance.
