Getting Error Message. Won't install

Feedback Type:  Troubleshooting Report

Contributed by: sequoia Thursday, May 05 2005 @ 07:31 AM PDT

Product Platform: MacOS,MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Using a 2Ghz G5, with 2.5 Gigs of RAM, on 10.4 Tiger, using QuickBooks Pro 2005, v7.0.1.R2

Tried installing this updater, but keep getting the error message: "An error occurred that prevented the installation from completing."

We've tried the following:

1. Repairing permissions a couple times
2. Booting from Safe Mode (restarting while holding down the Shift key)

For those trying to use this updater, please post back your results so that others can benefit. Especially if you get this to work. Thanks!

Getting Error Message. R4 Won't install - steve164

You may already be updated. Check to see if you have the R4 update by selecting About QuickBooks from the Application menu. If so, your done. If you are still in the prior R1,2 or 3 release then try re-installing the software. Worked for me.
