After the download, when I tried to open the mounted folder in Tiger it opened, immediately quit and my menu bar flashed. This happened several time. I started up in OS 9 and retrieved the files from the folder. Back in Tiger I tried to put the files into a new folder. Each time the menu bar flashed. Ultimately my HD would not open. Fortunately, I was completely backed up on a Firewire drive.
After restoring, I booted into 10.3.9. In 10.3.9 the mounted folder opened perfectly. I moved the files to the root level of my Tiger disk and rebooted into Tiger. I ran the installer and all went well. I saved the files to a zip disk that I use for backup, but did not put anything into a folder.
Disaster in using this one! - kenm22
