I still prefer Audacity...and it's free! - Roni Music

Nobody says this software is better than Audacity, it's a completly different software. Audacity is basically an audio file editor with recording fascilities. Audio Companion is an audio recorder aimed at people wanting to digitize their vinyl records. It has a built in splitter function so each song is saved as a separate file, a built in decrackle/declick function and allows for direct saving to during recording to MP3's and all other format that QuickTime supports.

So it's main use is to digitize your vinyl collection as fast as easy as possible.
