Yep, there's something called DashSaver and I prefer it to Dasher only because Dasher would have some weird problems not going away for me. Look for DashSaver here on VT.

New DashSaver version - ajturner

There is a new DashSaver version coming out today that adds configuration for showing/hiding the desktop, changing the transparency of the background as well as the color.
