Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: 6-12 months

Doesn't seem to work in Tiger. I tried it once and then things started acting screwy and the system preferences application disappeared. I don't know if prefsmenu caused the system to lose the system preferences application or not, but I *really* don't want to try installing it again if it was b/c I don't want to have to install Tiger again again ^^;

Works for me except that icons are generic for most prefpanes.

No problems calling up a pref pane though.

Me too, the icons are generic. But some of the new updates for Tiger show up okay.

Tiger Problems - sng40

I have been having freezes following random character/font substitutions in bright green (move a window, and other characters get substituted)--sure sign of an imiment freeze. I did all kinds of font verification, trashing of all font cache files, removal of corrupted fonts, re-installation of fonts from the install disk, yadda, yadda, yadda, and still the problem persisted. Got worse when I used Eudora. Also, the machine froze in the middle of Steve Jobs' Keynote to the developers' conference--latest QuickTime version. Anyway, I started up in SAFE mode from another account, and had no problems, so I knew that it was not faulty memory or the upgraded processor card. Then, I turned off most of my login applications, including PrefsMenu, and I have not had the problem. I have turned several back on, and still no font/freezing problem, and because of the way that the icons were changed in PrefsMenu, I suspect that it was the problem.
