Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

This sorry "update" has prevented me from retrieving messages with Mail 1.2.11 on both my G# and G4 12" laptop. I have resrted to using Entourage 2004 - a program I don't like. Why does Apple release software without testing?

Broke Mail App - Rick Deckard

Apple doesn't release software without testing, it just seems that way sometimes. There's no way Apple or anyone else can account for all the combinations and permutations of hardware and software on the Mac platform, no matter how big their test lab is.

I'm sure if Apple had your computer with its exact configuration in their lab at test time, they could have deteremined the cause and fixed it. It's possible it's not even their fault, but instead due to some third party shareware of software you have causing the issue. With most software updates, the majority of users don't experience any problems or very minor ones. Polls I've seen at MacFixIt and elsewhere support this.

Good luck, I hope you find the cause of yours soon.
