Quicksilver is great. After using it for a while, you'll find that you just can't live without it. Some may ask: 'What is Quicksilver?' The answer is simply whatever you want it to be. On the surface, QS launches programs, opens bookmarks and copies files. Underneath all of that, you'll find that the program is expandable to service whatever you choose. All that's needed is a plugin.
This new revision adds another great layer to the already excellent app. It's now easier than ever to install and configure plugins. The program seems like it's even faster than B35 if that's at all possible. If you haven't tried this program out, do yourself a favor and download it right now.

Life After Tiger - jonwbsc

I have used this product for quite awhile now. I've loved it. But now, with Spotlight, why continue to use Quicksilver? I'm not being sarcastic here, but seriously asking why. I would appreciate hearing responses.

Spotlight is not really the same kinda thing at all. Quicksilver, Launchbar, Butler et all are primarily launchers. Spotlight is primarily a search mechanism. Whilst you _can_ use Spotlight to launch apps, there are a number of things that QS and Launchbar do that spotlight doesn't. Spotlight is also a darned sight slower if all you need is a simple launch utility.

Personally I'm still using both Quicksilver (on my powerbook) and Launchbar (on my G5) along with Spotlight and find the extra functionality very useful.

To answer your question fully, all you really need to do is install QS on Tiger and use it for a few days...
