This game is terrible. The button to return to the main menu (and therefore abandon the current game) is very easy to accidentally push when trying to make a shot. The music is cheesy. There is only one angle from which to aim, making it difficult to line up many shots. Some of the holes are nearly impossible to sink at all, let alone within par. The graphics look like they are 5+ years old. It feels like a crappy Windows game ported to the Mac. By the 12th hole or so, I was just wanting the stupid game to be over already.
Why, oh why, aren't there any GOOD mini golf games available for OS X?
My advice is to avoid this... don't waste your time.

Try Electrotank's Mini Golf - kornball
I haven't tried Garden Golf but the following (Flash-based) game, although none too young, still manages to be reasonably diverting:http://www.electrotank.com/minigolf/
