Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: 1-6 months

Recommend Product: YES

The best P2P app for Mac OSX.

1. If you have trouble with connecting after updating OS to 10.3.9 just install the latest Java fix through software update.

2. If you plan to reinstall your OS remember to backup your Acquisition preferences file from Library/Preferences folder. After reinstalling just put it back to preferences folder and install Acquisition. This will prevent from problem with registration.

Doesn't always work... - Joel Schmidt

almost everytime I update OS X versions (w/o doing a clean install), I am told that I need to register the program (sometimes it doesn't even require a system update). When I enter my email address, it tells me to try again or contact the developer. Emailing him results in a claim that I have made several registrations using my email address.

Seems like either the developer's system or his software has major security holes that allow people to get one's registration info.

I also have had this problem when doing a clean install after manually backing up my Aquisition preference file plus application support folder and then putting them back when the reinstall is finished.
