It has great features.
External editing and version management should be as easy as iPhoto
The interface I just can't look at. If it has non-OS X like icons, I can't even look at them. They're abominable.
And the tabs. The convention for different views on OS X are no tabs. Does the Finder use tabs?
non-anti aliased fonts? square buttons in the tool bar? keyboard shortcuts that don't quite fit in with OS X? You can't turn off the zoom when you click a picture?
The list view could be more like QPict. Now that's a nice looking app.
I want to love this program. It has so many great features. But the interface. It's cross-platform. Please make it more mac like!
Delicious Monster, Omni Group, and Apple. Those are companies that know how to make interfaces. If a program doesn't win a design award, it's not good enough. Innovate the interface.

I want to love this program -
Having standards is good and helps move us forward by expecting more. The person who said 'get a life' is immature and doesn't understand constructive criticism. One feature of the new version that is unbearable is how long it takes to cancel media importing. God it's irritating waiting forever, then being asked 'hey do you REALLY want to cancel?' YES, I really DO, that's why I cancelled it!

Hey dude, get a life! - Bingo!
The icons (bought at the IconFactory I believe) are fine. It isn't an app by Apple so why should it look like the Finder? Lots of other apps use tabs (Safari) so I don't get your point.iView MediaPro isn't perfect yet (but hardly any app is) and still 100 times better than iPhoto for my needs.
I love this app!
