It does what it should and works as a charm, and as a registered payer, you are allowed to install it on two machines. That's very generous. But the drawback is that this installation is irreversible. Your machine will be checked in their database when you enter the registration code and that's definite. Even when you want to delete it from one machine to run it on another machine (fx you buy a new computer, but in my case remove it from a testmachine), you can't deactivate the registration on the first machine. That's a bad thing. It can't be that hard to un-register a computer? Hope this will be fixed in future updates and I wouldn't recommend it at this time, because of this.

I was indeed helped, very friendly, but when I want to change the registration to another machine it's not possible. You have to buy this plug in again when you buy a new machine. Once installed on two machines, it's definite.Like iTunes, you should be able to enable and disable a machine up to the maximum allowed numbers of users in the prefs.

If you contact Flip4Mac they can help you deinstall it from one machine and reregister it on another machine. They need to do it on their end. You simply need to contact them and explain you'd like to remove it on one machin and place it on another.Friday, May 06 2005 @ 05:18 PM PDT

I can't say I like this policy at all. Being dependent on being able to efficiently contact and receive a response from the developer(s) every time I futz with my machines, reinstall my OS or whatever, just grates. It's the reason I didn't upgrade to software behemoths Photoshop and Illustrator CS2, so it certainly applies to small pieces of shareware like this that I'm not yet hooked on.I recommend the developers reconsider their activation policy.
