<p>A very simple backup utility that does what it says. It's fairly intelligent about backing up a folder, in that if you are backing up one folder from your local HD to an external HD, and the folders are named the same, you won't lose any files -- it errs on the side of caution and simply adds to the existing folder any files from the local not found on the external.</p><p>With regards to the user who said the Backup button didn't do anything, I'd hazard a guess that no folders had been selected to be backed up when he clicked it.</p><p>If you're looking for something that compresses data and automatically restores, look elsewhere; Phew seems to be for the more savvy user anyway. This app has been 100% stable for me (iBook G4, 10.3.8), and I recommend it for those who simply want an application that backs up data, especially if you need to back up to several locations at once.</p>
