lexicon5 - it appears as though you've run it off the disk image, which won't work. If you run it off the hard drive then I get several hundred returns for New York (it takes a good few seconds for the sites to return this many hits).

It does say in the manual - but I guess everyone wants to run it straight away. Anyhow we've just released a 1.23 which catches this failure mode. We do care and will fix problems you come across. (we don't like unhappy people or low ratings!!)

Location Lookup Solution - lexicon5_

Well Rob...been running Macs since the SE30 days....at the first sign of trouble, I make sure I've placed the app in my App folder and am running from there. But as long as the app can write to the Prefs folder....it shouldn't matter where it's running from...and it appears it can write to the prefs folder no matter where it is running from. The last entries I made yesterday before deleting HWC were still there today so it was able to write some of the necessary info.
