Now all the buttons/sidescrolling features of the MX1000 are supported by USBO, I'm so, so happy. Loading USBO 10.3.8 was like coming home after living in someone else's house for a few weeks. The nuance of response curves in the mouse driver has an enormous impact to the overall "feel" of the computer as a whole. Very instructive. Thank you, Alessandro!

I've been using USB Overdrive for a few years as the driver for my mice from various makers. This driver provides a consistent "feel" for scrolling and moving, no matter which manufacturer's mouse I'm using. Like Wincent, I recently purchased a Logitech MX1000 mouse, but was sad to discover that the side scrolling wasn't supported in the then current version of USBO. I tried the drivers from Logitech and was very surprised at how completely I've taken USBO's scroll and movement acceleration settings for granted and was very disappointed at the Logitech driver's settings for the same.
