All these forth coming OS's... one could spend an awful lot of money by the end the year. I'm guessing of course the new OS's are not updates but new systems... around $130 a pop... yikes!Tuesday, April 12 2005 @ 02:01 PM PDT

And you'll still have to pay full price for each new kitty! These cats must be very endangered because owning one sure is expensive! I just can't keep paying $130 a year for bug fixes and feature revamps. Is it too late to get a dog instead?Tuesday, April 12 2005 @ 02:54 PM PDT

Want a dog instead? Try any Windows OS. They're all dogs.Tuesday, April 12 2005 @ 03:01 PM PDT

Too funny! ROTFLMAO......actually, I've had to install Windows & Virtual PC on my G5 DP 2.5 just so I could run MS Project, and I selected Windows 2000 Pro. It's phenomenally non-intuitive, and it seems like they went out of their way to make it user-UNfriendly...and of course, it's hideously ugly. But I'll say this for it: it's stable and FAST. Definitely not a dog.
I'm glad I only have to use it to run one application, but it's a huge improvement over my past experience with Windows. The last time I had to run a Microsoft OS for something, it was Windows 98. Now THAT was a real barker. It really made me sympathize with the great hordes of Windows users who just didn't know that using a computer could actually be a pleasure.

They've already publically said they're slowing the development cycle after Tiger because they feel their customers don't want to pay a "per year" tax to own a Mac and Tiger will pretty much be a "solidified" release. Don't expect 10.5 to ship anytime in 2006, myself.Wednesday, April 13 2005 @ 08:11 AM PDT
