I like the program very much. For further development I suggest some features, which I personally would really like to see. First, there should also be a fullscreen mode. Second, a simple slideshow for all or selected images in a folder would be great. Third, the thumbs on the left should be scalable and should arrange 'intelligently', so that one can get a good overview over lots of images, if desired. Forth, the shortcuts to Finder and Preview are a great idea, but this should be extended with custom shortcuts to other applications (like image manipulation apps etc).

Agreed. That being said, it will take some time to implement this. This (like many features I have planned) requires the architectural changes I'm making for the v0.6 release. This should be out around v0.7; v0.8 at the latest.

Probably simple to add, but dependent on the first.

Scaling down under 128x128 would be easy, and that should be in v0.6, so that if you make the file-selector smaller, the thumbnails get smaller. Making them larger is non-trivia since the Finder only allows icons/thumbnails to be up to 128x128 pixels. I have to think about this...

It's a neat idea but I have no idea how I'd do it.

Maybe the size of the thumbnails should not depend on the size of the window. Rather (or in addition) think about introducing a control which can change the size (like in Finder's Show View Option dialog). The thumbnails should also arrange themselves in multiple columns when space is availabe.

Try Phoenix Slides. I like this just the way it is. It's nice to have different features in different applications. That way we get the one we like. If they all did the same thing, then why not only make one.
