I have to admit, what Microsoft has coded into MSN Messenger is not bad. It's fairly stable, and some of the things it does work quite well. That said, what it does is not much. Microsoft has released a very watered down version of its client for PC, and frankly I'm not surprised. But it does surprise me with the sheer amount of things it doesn't have that the PC version does. Like display pictures. That seems like a standard thing for MSN, and yet it's not there. Ditto with moving emoticons. Microsoft has taken every step to insure that people will not like MSN:Mac for some reason, and I have only this to say: Their loss. I now use aMSN, the best MSN clone I've tried (I've also tried Mercury, but find it a unstable and slow).

If I were Microsoft, I'd cram as many features into their client as I did the PC version, if only to attempt to gain a little respect among Mac users. Apparently this is not the way Microsoft likes to do things.

I do like the way Microsoft underestimates Mac users, though. I can only hope someday it'll come back to bite them.

Thats correct no web cam for MSN mac users. Pretty much all you can do is message someone and send/receive files.
