Used the beta. Couldn't remove the program or stop it from openning when I booted up in OSX. Finally removed the program by booting into system 9 and then removed the application from my OSX desktop. I wouldn't touch this program with a ten foot pole.
Terrible program - Leighton_L_Paul_760
I'm sorry you had trouble with last year's beta version 18. It was withdrawn several months ago due to a crashing bug in some configurations.Apparently the beta crashed in your machine, leaving its desktop picture as the selected background, instead of restoring the previous desktop from its normal quit routine. That gives the false appearance that the program is still running, when it is not. Other users of that beta reported similar problems, which were fixed in the release version in November, 2004.
If the program is Force Quit, or crashes, so that its image remains installed as the desktop picture, the easiest fix is to use System Preferences/Desktop to choose a different desktop picture. It is not necessary to use System 9 or do anything special to uninstall.
I've received no crashing reports since the release version 3.0.1 in November, 2004. Development continues on other features and issues reported by users.
