Still haven't fixed major bugs

Feedback Type:  Troubleshooting Report

Contributed by: ZildjianKX Wednesday, March 23 2005 @ 10:15 AM PST

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: 6-12 months

Recommend Product: YES

It still crashes when you search bookmarks.

You still can't tab to buttons or drop down boxes.

If the download manager is open and no webpages are open, you can't create a new window without closing the download manager first...

Ahhh!

Maybe not . . . - hkim

I can search the bookmarks without Firefox bombing in OSX 10.3.8. I don't seem to have any of your problems in fact. Perhaps you need to perform diagnostics or run other tests (?)

Sorry for the double post.

I get this on both my macs, even on fresh installs and killing the preference folder, etc.

Anyone else have these problems, or is it just me?

You can really tab to drop down boxes and buttons?

I'm glad I'm not the only person bothered by Firefoxes inability to tab to buttons or dropdown lists. Even Camino does that!

I also can't stand that there isn't a "next tab" shortcut (apple + option + arrow). I used this everyday on Camino. Also "arrow up" in a text box DOES NOT take you to the beginning (and "arrow down" doesn't take the cursor to the end). Hopefully these will be fixed in in 1.02 Let me know if these bug the hell out of anyone else!

How to make Firefox tab to buttons:

Type "about:config" in the location bar and edit the tab.focus option to "3".

Done.

Wow, fantastic.

In case anyone else is reading, accessibility.tabfocus

Anyways, anyone know how to change the margins/headers/footers for what is printed with firefox for OS X? Really easy to do from Page Setup on the PC.

Tabbing to form widgets - Uncle Asad

The default setting is to follow the preference for Full Keyboard Access set in the System Prefs, so you should be able to simply enable that without resorting to overriding the default in about:config.
