Still not good enough

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: NO

I had not used it since first trying version 1 and being disappointed. I wrote a brief 2-page document with Pages, and pasted some text from different web sources to use as quotes. The pasted text kept its own formatting, which may not be that bad in itself but an option to paste unformatted text would be superior. My main complaint in this situation is that the option to Copy Character Style under the format menu was unavailable. It seems to work with some text, but was unavailable for most of my document. Copying and then pasting a style would have been a quick solution.
Also, changing the style of the final lines of a paragraph actually changed the whole paragraph. As a word processor I still find Pages to be somewhat annoying even when doing very basic things, such as simple formatting.
Perhaps by version 1.5 or 2 it will be OK. It is very easy to use, and for many, Pages will satisfy their needs. I expected a better program.
