Deneba Canvas - Kryton

ACD absorbed Deneba and Canvas came in as part of the deal. Canvas 9 was the last major revision and this app is called Canvas X (or version 10 is what I suppose it should be). However, from reading the promo material this seems to have little in it to warrant a major revision number. Canvas 9 (I speak as a mac user) had a lot of bugs outstanding and performance problems. I suppose those bugs will never be fixed. Canvas 8 was also buggy and many of its bugs were fixed in Canvas 9. This 'upgrade' is not as expensive as previous ones (at least for mac users - although it should be noted that a lot of features that are available in the Windows version are missing in the mac version). Pressure sensitivity is probably still missing. No processor optimisation will probably be forthcoming for the mac version either. I never EVER use the text features in Canvas 8 or 9 because they are guaranteed to make the app quit at some unknown point. I don't expect X will have improved here either. Too soon to tell though.
