I downloaded VLC to play DVD-Rs recorded on my TiVo (Apple DVD player locks after 10 minutes). Movies play, but no sound comes out. True of commercial DVDs too. Error log suggests that the conflict is with coreaudio. Any suggestions?

No sound - Angus111

There is some problem with G5s and VLC audio. I downloaded a custom version from the vlc forum and it fixed the audio problem for me, at least on the one file I was trying to play. See: http://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?t=8028
