Downloaded the demo. Installed it. It's still the same buggy, slow app, just with new buggy features! It's unstable on my dual 2G G5, took forever to run a couple of filters on a tiny JPEG file, PDFs and DXF support in OS X are still weird, and I find that the application just isn't that intuitive to use. I haven't upgraded my Canvas licence since v. 7 mainly because Canvas STILL doesn't support Wacom tablets for pressure sensitivity in OS X - the options are still grayed out as in 8 and 9. WTH? Several features on the Winblows version aren't available Mac platform - Carmine couldn't figure it out at Deneba, ACD is just as clueless. Hey, ACD? Hello? Sticking with PS, Freehand, ID, and QXP.
