Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: YES

When I went from 8.1 to 9 beta, it ate my 8.1 encrypted disk. Be sure to copy whatever you have in older encrypted disks to your desktop before upgrading. Also be aware that it will encrypt your e-mails without your awareness if you send an e-mail to someone whose public key you have. Unfortunately my son had misplaced my public key, so he couldn't read the email. But overall, I like the ease of operation.

OK now.... - John Petty

I reinstalled and everything has since worked fine. This time it did not damage my encrypted disk in any way. 9 is so much more integrated into the overall Mac operation that you would really have to consciously try to get by the security. I recommend it if you need security. Hippa compliant.
