Once again, when will developers realize that shareware is supposed to be priced lower than Commerical software, found in stores. The reason is, and has always been the same: you have minimal overhead when compared to the commerical developers, and should charge accordingly. $20.00 is what one would most likely expect to pay in a retail outlet for this program (but probably less, considering what it accomplishes), because of packaging, distribution, etc.
NOT AS A DOWNLOAD ON THE &^@()@#@ internet!
Wise up developers!!!! This is one of the main contributors to software piracy on all platforms!
Will you guys EVER GET IT?????????
Stop pricing your programs on the basis of what you think the market will bare—and price this stuff for what it’s worth, REMEMBERING that both your talents and overhead still don’t equal COMMERICAL EXPENDATURES!

"[Adobe CS only costs] $25.00 to "produce" (CD duplication, printing, packaging, and shipping"Wow! I didn't realize that Adobe was entirely staffed by volunteer programmers, designers, strategists, copywriters for documentation, etc. Those greedy bastards netting $975 profit on every copy.

If $20 is a lot, then this is not software you need.

Your post should read what the market will "bear," unless the market is "bare" naked.EXPENDITURES, not EXPENDATURES. Is SpellCheck $20.00? : )

When will commenters realize that the price for software is reflective on the perceived value and time it saves the end-user and not some mythical costs assocaited with what the perceived production and distribution costs for a package may or may not be?Macromedia Studio MX 2004 and Adobe Creative Suite costs well over $1,000 but in reality may only cost $25.00 to "produce" (CD duplication, printing, packaging, and shipping)! Yet, there's obviously a market for the products due to the continued success of the product lines.
