I hear the Xounds of CRASHES...

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Over One Year

Recommend Product: YES

[iMac 17" G4 800, OS 10.3.8.] Installed 2.2, logged back in - and got a never-ending stream of Crash Reporter alerts, with system.log filling up with "crashdump: Unable to determine CPSProcessSerNum pid: 10447 name: xoundsd" - several per second. Trashed Xounds.ape 2.2 and the prefPane (a bit tricky as Crash Reporter alerts were commandeering the screen). Perhaps I should have re-booted to get the daemon to be 'recognised' but instead I just put back the two 1.4 items, logged back in - and, Hallelujah! - unsanity has been replaced by sanity!!

Come on, Unsanity - this is far from your usual perfection.

[I reported this at the Developer's Site, and would encourage others to do the same. I wonder if those reporting success are perhaps running Jaguar??]

DITTO!

Thought it was only me.

I reported to Insanity yesterday and have heard nothing back from them yet. This is the first time I've ever had any problem with their software.

I have also been suffering a series of disturbances since running the Xounds and FruitMenu updaters on 10.3.8. All back to normal after an uninstall.

Also the first time I have traced any problems to Haxies after 2 years solid use.
