very well put Kironi - it has always amazed me that anyone takes the time to complain that VueScan is updated too often. Might be a different story if the updates were required or you had to pay for them. I actually find it somewhat amusing that nearly every time I check version tracker there is a new version of VueScan available. I only download about every fifth version - and in some cases download two or three versions that I never even use to scan annything since I can go for months without needing to scan anything then will need to scan a bunch of stuff. Since version 7.whatever I have seen many improvements in the product and while I first bought it to use with a scanner unsupported by the OEM - I now use it with a scanner whose software has not been updated since before I bought it. And as has been pointed out here before Hamrick is very repsonsive to his customers - even in cases where the root cause of the problem is not his product. Early on I had some issues with the bundled button manager software and some USB conflicts that Mr Hamrick helped me to resolve.
