To put the remote Mac to sleep, use Terminal to connect to it via SSH, then type:

osascript -e 'tell application "System Events" to sleep'

You don't seriously think that's easier than doing the same with Remote Desktop, do you? Besides, I'm asking for this as a feature for this app, not instructions on how to open *another* app for that functionality.

Remote Desktop needs a lot of bandwith...
The sleep command is really better when you use a GPRS access.
