Synergy is extremely elegant and dynamic, plus no intrusive, eggheaded internet verification. Synergy only has version checking, which can easiy be deactivated.

Companies like "You" just don't GET IT. Why? because they have no way to quantify the number of customers lost due to their intrusive verification schemes.

Many people (myself included) will not install software if they know, in advance, that it "phones home". It's one thing to tolerate Quark XPress doing this because maybe you can't replace Quark (except with InDesign, hah!), but when superior alternatives exist that DO NOT "phone home," why bother?

I mean, who's being paranoid here? So "You" saves a X dollars because their software is more difficult to pirate, yet loses XXX dollars because a majority of users don't want their software "phoning home".

Makes no sense. Too bad, too. "You" actually makes decent stuff, though in this case, Synergy is clearly superior.
