Too bad... I really deeply regret to read fights for an icon in the free/sahreware or whatever "community"-ware ! You guys should better try to find an agreement ouside the forum.
I am also a mac app designer (and also made a freeware for french zip codes for free), and i think we have to support the mac community that way. Arguing that way in public is just negative and useless, please mind this is just a question of a single icon !
