1.1 Crash on start

Feedback Type:  Troubleshooting Report

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: 1-6 months

I have 2 versions of this application both claim to be to be version 1.1. One has a creation date of December 11, 2004 16:02:37 and will launch the second has a creation date of January 14, 2005 09:10:39 and as of this writing is the current downloadable version will not launch and gives no error message. I sent two support emails to the developer weeks ago and have not herd back from him.

I am hoping that someone else may have run into this and found a work around.

1.1 Crash on start - cp.fusion

I had the older version on my computer and it was working fine. I downloaded the software again and it was (as stated) the newer version. I ran it, it asked for my password (I had switched on the restrict access option in prefs) then it gave an error and forced me to exit the app. I went back in to the older version and switched off the restrict access option then quit. I launched the newer version again and it worked without the error.

The main problem I have found is that the developer never returns my requests for support. I had some difficulties with some domains not saving properly and emailed him on multiple occasions, but never got a response. I find this unacceptable since I have actually purchased the software.

I did however get a response back when I purchased the software because I wanted to be able to print my domain list:-

13/12/2004

In the beta version of Master of my Domain, we found that the printing method we were using caused a crash on some computers. We've stripped this code out until we can create an improved method, but apparently we forgot to disable the menu items and/or provide an alert box with feedback when someone chooses Print.

I apologize for this. We should have printing fully working by next version release, due out anytime now.

Thanks so much for your patience and understanding in this matter, and for bringing this to my attention.

Happy holidays!

We Open Doors, Not Windows

Well, since then I have heard nothing and the software has never been updated to add this feature. If anyone has had any more joy with AppleSource, I would love to know, because this software shows great promise.
