Cocktail tries to undo certain applications and in doing so will corrupt important applications like NetBarrier. I have been a long time registered user of Cocktail, but have chosen the Uninstall option in the menu as the Developer sees fit, for an application of not much merit, and to insure he lines his pockets with money, to include code to disassemble other apps you might have on your CPU. Hardly, worth it. This app has turned into: garbage in, garbage out. Developers' like this should be held legally accountable.

I purchased both applications after receving a support email from one of the users few weeks ago and tested/run NetBarrier and VirusBarrier for two weeks without finding any problems. I would like to ask anyone who is running NetBarrier and/or VirusBarrier and experiencing any compatibility issues to contact me. Regards, Kristofer SzymanskiTuesday, February 22 2005 @ 07:07 PM PST

MAC_1984, what the hell are you talking about? I have NetBarrier and VirusBarrier running at all times on my G4 iMac, and have been using Cocktail for over 2 years (while both those apps are active) without experiencing any problems whatsoever. Your rant about the motives and methods of the developer of Cocktail suggests that you have an axe to grind, or that you've stopped taking your anti-paranoia medication. If you're actually experiencing problems, I suggest that you rule out all other possible causes of conflict or corruption before declaring that Cocktail is the culprit. You might try typing up a clearly written explanation of the issues you've encountered, and sending it to the Cocktail developer, Kristofer, with a request for assistance -- although he'd have to be a mighty nice guy to help you after your tirade against him. Not everybody is out to cheat or harm you. Keep taking the tablets.Reply to This
