I dunno. PostgreSQL is hugely interesting and all, but MySQL has the installed user base. Licensing may be an issue for some people, but frankly to a private user like myself MySQL's scheme is 10,000% better than pricey licensing by Foxbase and its ilk, especially when coupled with phpMyAdmin. You're better off thinking about what you really need than just biting on someone's blanket "better" opinion. Here's a fairly good comparison. There are surely many more.
