Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Over One Year

Beware of the upgrade. After upgrading, Moneydance wont launch anymore on my iMac, but gives a fatal Java error. No way to get to my data anymore either. Nice. So far for reliability!

After upgrading, no more launching - jdien

I ran into this too when I upgraded via the automatic update mechanism. I e-mailed the developer and got a prompt reply (customer support is great!). The problem is that Moneydance was upgraded but not the Java code it relies on. Some sort of developer oversight. What you need to do is to reinstall the application from scratch. In other words, download the application from the developer website. It'll work fine (you won't even need to type in your registration number or anything).
