Though the Limewire site says they no longer support OS 9, this latest build is much faster and worth the download. Where version 4.0.1 was slow and took forever to complete tasks, this version is almost bearable though it is clear the Windows clients are getting all the attnetion. Get this one though folks, you'll be glad you did even if its the very last one they ever release.

This is a note and not trying to be rude in any way. However if its built in Java, I highly doubt there is any variations to the coding. As per the fact that Java can run on all systems. Why would they spend time to recode a downgraded Java application for other OS's aside from Windows? Its because they didnt."Limewire is written in Java, and will run on Windows, Macintosh, Linux, Sun, and other computing platforms"
