I too own this product. The old 3.x version seems to work a lot better, and I tried 4.x to no avail, and don't seem to be able to get files converted properly. I have given up and now try to use bbDEMUX to split MPEG-1 streams to audio and video (demux). Thereafter, I can easily use Cleaner 6 or the regular Quicktime to export to formats I need, including that of using "Add Scaled" function in QuickTime player to merge back converted streams (usually Sorenson 3 and QD audio).
