If you are upgrading from AOL OS X to AOL OS X and still have your AOL preferences file in your System 9 file on your computer, trash the OS 9 preferences before you run the installer. Rather than looking for the most recent OS X preferences like your filing cabinet, it automatically reinstalls the OS 9 preferences.
All your recent email and bookmarks can be reinstalled if you know how, but it's a pain in the rear.
Oh, and the new version is as buggy as the old version. I've had it crash on me twice since I installed it this morning.

WARNING - Mark Wayne
Please, tell us how to get AOL-X to use my AOL-5 address book that I’ve built up over many years. I’ve phone their tech support 4 times but the stuff they suggest (just put a copy of the old address book in Users/Shared/Americal Online) just doesn’t work. Should I change the name from “address book” to “MY NAME contracts”?Reply to This
