Hi,
Make sure that you don't have errors in your .cshrc file. If you have errors in your .cshrc file, it will interfere with the VMD startup scripts. If necessary, rename your .cshrc to .cshrc.bak then run VMD, it should work fine. Fix the .cshrc error and you'll be in business.
