Bill's comments are completely unfair. As an old-time Mac user, I too would prefer code included in the App instead of a GUI wrapper. However, as a developer (no relation to author), I know that this is simply impossible with the licenses of various codecs in all the tools it uses (if nothing else). Rather, the author should be commended for putting a nice, simple-to-use front-end to all these tools and Setup Assistant to download and install them. You want complex, try ffmpegX; it is an extremely powerful and flexible GUI to a lot more (most) video tools, but you have to be a video expert to use it correctly. For the average (DVD) transcoding job, I recommend Forty-Two DVDVX. For more advanced video work, try ffmpegX. Also consider Export2QT for TiVo, Replay, VOB, MPEG1-2 -> QT, and DiVA for WMV,...->3ivx.

That guy is either a openshiva developer or a hopeless fanatic thinking he is helping his favorite program. Oh, or worse? A person who couldn't crack the program or something and tries to harm.As I got a bit experienced using this program, wanted to help the newbies troubleshooting entries. All I saw was complete BS and abuse of VT comment system by him.
Nobody deserves this kind of thing.
