Ok...nice to have the Mac supported and it is cool to be able to share my music and photo's through my wireless network to my Audio system. It's killing me that it doesn't support ACC which I won't, at this time blame Tivo for, as it may be an Apple issue.
However, having said that Tivo needs to;
1. Prove your product and business model with people who have historically shown are forward thinking, early adopters, that push technology, are willing and able to spend $$$$ and are loyal while serving as great word-of-mouth advertising. Can you say "mac users"?
2. Get a reel customer feedback area/email address so your customers can talk back to you and you can be more responsive and have a better understanding of their needs and concerns.
3. Put a FireWire 400/800 port on your units for easier transfer of files once Tivo to Go comes to Mac. Not looking forward to transfers over wireless etc. MUCH easier to plug in laptop or Mac Mini directly.
My 2 cents...owner of two series II units, former DirectTV unit owner, and someone who is loosing faith and thinking of alternatives. All the talk of how cool Tivo To Go is has got me considering the Mac PVR options again...not a good way to keep customer loyalty.
I hope your listening Tivo!

This is why they don't have Firewire ports on Tivos as of yet. My friend discovered his Tivo unit had a USB 2 port (we thought it was USB 1.1 and had been using wireless.) So we went out and bought a 10/100 USB2 NIC. Speeds only increased marginally. Turns out that Tivos encode the WMP DRM on the fly as they send so you won't get much above 6mbps anyway.Reply to This
